Are there any good toddler books on tooth brushing?
My son is just about 18 months and has never enjoyed tooth brushing. He fights and screams whenever we try to brush them. We have all different kinds of toothbrushes. The ones with cartoon characters on them, one given to us by the dentist that won’t gag him, one of the motorized ones, and the rubber finger brush which we prefer since i can get in there without hurting him. It’s just a huge battle! Just wondering if there are any good childrens books to help him with his fears? Or if anyone else has any tips of their own.
My son loves the toothpaste that sings a song by Colgate, it encourages brushing for 70 sec and he loves it. Also we do the ‘Aw ‘and’ teeth ’sounds, aw for the back teeth and then we say teeth to brush the front ones. Then I tell him I have to inspect and I do a once over. After I act like his teeth are so shiny that I have to shade my eyes and I ooh and aw and say there so clean they are sparkling all over the place and he eats it up!Now he is always wanting to brush- Hope that helps!
